Paper: RARG Uses Relevance as an Execution Prior in Agentic Search

_akhaliq · x · 2026-07-30

This paper introduces RARG, a novel approach that redefines the role of relevance in Agentic Search.

Instead of merely deciding what enters the context, RARG turns relevance into an execution prior that guides agent interactions. It dictates where interaction begins, which documents are searched first, and which local excerpts remain visible. Experiments on BrowseComp-Plus and BRIGHT demonstrate that RARG successfully advances the accuracy-efficiency frontier compared to standard retrieval-based and direct-interaction agents.
