YC-Backed Speko Launches as an OpenRouter for Voice Models
ycombinator · x · 2026-07-30
Speko.ai announced its launch with backing from Y Combinator, positioning itself as the OpenRouter for voice models. The platform continuously benchmarks STT, TTS, and LLM models across different languages and automatically routes requests to the best-performing option.
Currently, Speko integrates over 140 models from 50+ providers across 10+ languages. Their leaderboards show AssemblyAI's Universal-3.5 Pro leading in STT and Deepgram's aura-2 topping TTS. Compatible with LiveKit, Pipecat, and MCP, developers can simply point their API to Speko to seamlessly switch underlying models.
