New MCP Spec Introduces Stateless Core for Enhanced Reliability

The new Model Context Protocol (MCP) spec (2026-07-28) is now live. Google Cloud co-led the Transport Working Group to introduce a stateless protocol core to MCP.
Drawn from their experience scaling database MCP tools, this architectural update aims to deliver greater reliability and robustness for the broader ecosystem.
