ChatNote lets users comment on specific paragraphs inside AI chat responses

A beginner developer built ChatNote, a browser extension that lets users comment on individual paragraphs inside AI responses instead of copying the whole message back and forth.
The extension works across several chat products, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, DeepSeek, and LibreChat. The author says it also ships for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and notes that Perplexity has not worked yet.
The pitch is simple: highlight a paragraph or bullet in an AI answer, attach a note, and have that contextual feedback flow back into the conversation. The author says the workflow is faster, cleaner, and more precise than copy-pasting entire responses.
They also mention:
- version 1.2 is out;
- they built it with roughly $20 in Kimi tokens and about 100 hours of work;
- they are considering a freemium plan.
This is both a useful product idea and a small indie-builder case study: the author says they had essentially no programming background and relied on AI to build it.
