Apple may let iPhone users pick different AI models in iOS 27 beta
alifcoder · x · 2026-07-27
A thread speculates that iOS 27 beta could bring a model picker inside Apple Intelligence.
The idea is that users might choose different AI brains for different tasks: ChatGPT for general questions, Claude for writing, Gemini for Google-connected work, and Apple’s on-device model for private tasks. The bigger shift, the post argues, is Apple becoming the distribution layer where multiple model providers compete on the iPhone.
