Jensen Huang says AI should learn from many sources, including other AI
In an Axios interview, Jensen Huang argued that distillation and learning from other models is fundamental to intelligence.
- He said humans constantly learn from one another, and AI should be allowed to learn from as many sources of knowledge as possible.
- Huang noted that the internet has historically been scraped for prior human knowledge, and that AI is now producing more and more of the web’s content itself.
- He suggested that in a few years, most internet content could be AI-generated, meaning models will inevitably be distilling knowledge from other AIs.
- On safety, he said a smarter AI is a safer AI.
- He drew a hard line on privacy and contracts: AI should not violate privacy or terms of agreement, and violations should be handled by the company involved.
