Cohere backs open-source models in letter calling for “sovereign AI for all”

Cohere says it has signed an open letter arguing that open-source models are essential to the AI ecosystem.
The letter says people in every country should be able to control the technology that will reshape their lives, framing open source as part of a broader push for "sovereign AI for all."
