Haraway’s cyborg looks more relevant under “slow AI”

The post argues that a rereading of Haraway’s cyborg becomes more interesting when paired with Haraway’s later comments calling for a “slow AI” that is ecologically sustainable, accountable to labor, and collectively shaped.

The critique is that any serious contemporary interpretation of the cyborg should engage with those newer concerns instead of treating it as a purely abstract or celebratory techno-theory. The emphasis is on sustainability, labor, and shared governance.
