Open-sourcing older models is a win-win, not a gift to China

The author argues China can’t make much use of this because it is already distilling other models and still lacks compute. They also say Anthropic would already understand these “tricks” because it has hired key researchers, so the move would be a win-win rather than a one-sided leak.
