Anthropic Details Opus 5 Pricing and Safeguards with Cybersecurity Focus

Anthropic officially announced that Opus 5 is available today on all paid plans and the Claude API, priced identically to Opus 4.8. It serves as the default model for Claude Max and the strongest model for Claude Pro. Additionally, it offers a Fast mode running at roughly 2.5x the default speed.
In terms of cybersecurity, Opus 5 outperforms Opus 4.8 but remains substantially behind Mythos 5 at developing exploits. Its safeguards are specifically designed to help developers identify and fix software vulnerabilities while blocking high-risk malicious uses.
