Jensen Huang says NVIDIA backs open models for safety, innovation and sovereignty

Jensen Huang posted a letter signed by NVIDIA arguing that open models matter.
The letter says AI will reshape every industry and should be built by every country. It makes three main claims:
- Open models can improve safety and cybersecurity
- They speed up innovation and diffusion
- They support sovereignty by letting more countries and companies build on them
Huang’s note says the world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
