Robot prices could fall 10x if manipulators and parts became standardized

Robots are still expensive mainly because their component supply chains are not standardized.

The post argues that if manipulators and other core parts were made interoperable, robot prices could drop by an order of magnitude and potentially reach the low four-figure range much faster. It calls for companies to contribute technical experts to the ISO standardization process to accelerate that effort.
