Non-Technical Founder Builds and Runs Matcha E-commerce Site with Claude Code
HarperSCarroll · x · 2026-07-24
The author shares how a completely "non-technical" friend successfully launched a business using Claude. Wanting to buy matcha directly from a Japanese farm, she was required to have her own brand, which sparked the idea for a startup.
Guided by the author, she used Claude for the entire process from branding to web development. By uploading product photos, she had Claude generate a brand book with matching colors and fonts. Using Claude Code's local agent feature, they exported the code, which rendered a beautiful website that even captured packaging details automatically. She eventually set up the Shopify integration herself and now independently runs her business using AI.
