Apple Intelligence has reportedly been cleared to launch in China, after already being live in the US since 2024.
The rollout would use Alibaba’s Qwen models for the core AI layer, with Baidu handling search and visual intelligence. If true, this is a significant localization step for Apple’s AI offering in China, and a notable sign of how much the product depends on local partners there.
