Microsoft says its MAI models cut PowerPoint image costs 84% and lift OneDrive saves 26%

Microsoft says its MAI models are now rolling out across products with measurable gains:
- PowerPoint’s image model cuts costs by 84% versus GPT-Image-2.
- OneDrive sees 26% higher save rates and about 25% lower latency.
- Bing now uses the default model with strong quality and performance.
- Dragon Copilot’s transcription model supports 58 languages and halves multilingual clinical transcription errors.
Mustafa Suleyman also says more deployments are coming to GitHub and Excel, pointing to a broader Microsoft push to make frontier models cheaper and more widely available across the ecosystem.
