AMD’s Venice CPU family is being positioned as a stronger option for AI-era servers, with claims of better performance per watt than ARM-based CPUs.

The slide shown in the post says Venice delivers up to 2.8x more agents per watt in “agentic CPU servers” and up to 3.3x better performance per watt in general-purpose CPU servers, compared with ARM and other CPU options shown on the chart. The post frames this as a chiplet-driven portfolio play with up to 256 cores.
