AMD pitches 256-core Venice as a CPU for agent sandboxes and AI host nodes

AMD CEO Lisa Su says the company’s CPU architecture is a key advantage because it can be scaled into many workloads.
She highlighted Venice, a 256-core chip built for Agentic sandboxes, saying it uses eight compute chiplets with 32 cores each and scales to 512 threads. AMD positions it as delivering more agent capacity per watt and per dollar while keeping GPUs fed in AI host nodes.
