WorldLabs buys SceniX to turn 3D world generation into robot training
创业邦 · wechat · 2026-07-23
Li Fei-Fei’s WorldLabs acquired SceniX, a robotics simulation company, and will fully integrate its team and technology.
The deal extends WorldLabs from 3D world generation toward robot training environments. The article argues that Marble creates navigable 3D spaces, while SceniX adds the physics layer robots need to learn motion, manipulation, and sim-to-real transfer.
Key points:
- SceniX focuses on high-fidelity contact dynamics, friction, torsion, and deformation.
- Its simulator can generate physically consistent multimodal data, including LiDAR, depth, and tactile signals.
- The acquisition is framed as a move from “world creation” to a closed loop between spatial intelligence, simulation, and real-world robotics.
