HeyGen’s companion mode turns video generation into a step-by-step agent workflow
HeyGen · x · 2026-07-23
HeyGen shares a walkthrough for companion mode, a new workflow for directing video generation instead of just ordering a finished clip.
The agent can:
- propose multiple angles,
- review a storyboard,
- sketch frames for approval,
- and only continue once the user signs off.
The example uses the video-creation pipeline from script → storyboard → final video, and ties into HyperFrames, Codex, and the HeyGen CLI. The post positions this as a more collaborative way to create videos, where the user stays in control at every step.
