HeyGen adds storyboard-first workflow to HyperFrames video generation
HeyGen’s HyperFrames is introducing a Storyboard flow so agents can plan videos before rendering them.
Why it matters
The article argues AI video generation has usually skipped pre-production: you prompt, the model renders, and you only discover structural problems after spending compute. Storyboarding moves the expensive work later.
How the flow works
The board fills in three passes:
- Plan — cards for each frame with titles, scene description, and duration
- Sketch — wireframes with real copy placed where it will live
- Build — full design, assets, and motion on top of approved layouts
Directing the result
Each storyboard card has a comment box. Feedback can target a single frame, and only that frame updates while the others stay fixed. The post says this makes the board a real directing surface rather than a passive preview.
