Germany’s startup boom is accelerating
A new report says Germany saw 3,053 startups launched in H1 2026, up 88% year over year. Roughly one-third of those startups focus on AI.
The same data shows VC funding rose 44% to €5.8 billion, suggesting a broader rebound in founder activity despite the weak macro backdrop. The chart in the post shows startup creation surging sharply into 2026 after a flatter 2022–2024 period.
