Y Combinator Envisions Self-Maintaining APIs Powered by Coding Agents

The way API providers communicate changes is still broken. Breaking updates often go unnoticed by customers until something stops working.
Coding agents could enable a new model for "self-maintaining APIs." Instead of just announcing a change in a changelog, an API provider could use an agent to find every affected use in a customer's codebase and automatically open a pull request to fix it.
