Prompt turns Claude Code into a forensics tool finding deleted iPhone photos in backups
alex_verem · x · 2026-10-27
alexverem shares a ready-to-paste Claude Code prompt that audits a Mac iPhone backup to locate every copy of deleted photos: Recently Deleted with remaining days, per-app media storage ranked by count, and Messages attachments. The workflow is strictly read-only (SQLite mode=ro&immutable=1), metadata-only, stdlib Python with zero network calls, and outputs a CSV. It also flags the backup blind spot — which apps can read your photo library — pointing to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
