Author Reddactor built a Local Quantum LLM project using a single-photon quantum random number generator (QRNG) to drive LLM token sampling. Core principles:
- A single photon hits a half-mirror, randomly passing or reflecting, generating true random bits.
- Based on Many-Worlds Interpretation, each token selection splits the universe, writing all possible tokens in different branches.
- Users can build their own QRNG or use the author's free data stream.
- Supports quantum-llama.cpp and quantum-vLLM forks.
- Practically identical to classical PRNG, but philosophically significant.
