Ethan Mollick uses Codex to configure Claude Code, joking that the singularity starts here

Using Codex to bootstrap Claude Code becomes the new meta-workflow

Ethan Mollick says he is using Codex to set up Claude Code because opening a terminal takes an extra click.

The screenshot shows Codex helping set the persistent CLAUDECODEGITBASHPATH environment variable so Claude Code can find Git Bash, then telling the user to restart Claude Code or open a new terminal for the change to take effect. The joke is that one coding assistant is now being used to configure another, with the punchline that this is how the singularity starts.
