New Tesla buyers went from zero interest to Model Y delivery in just two weeks

A former auto-industry assumption that “no one wanted an autonomous vehicle” is being challenged by a Tesla buyer story.
The quoted couple said they had little prior knowledge of Tesla, tried the Model Y on June 27, ordered it on June 29, and drove it home on July 11 — just two weeks later. They say they used FSD immediately, had never driven the car themselves, and have been enjoying it more each day.
The post uses that story to argue that better products can change consumer behavior, even when market research says demand is weak.
