YC startup Vendo launches an open-source customization layer for user-built micro-apps
ycombinator · x · 2026-07-22
YC-backed startup Vendo is introducing a customization layer that lets users build their own features and micro-apps on top of an existing product.
The pitch is that software is moving away from one-size-fits-all experiences. In Vendo’s view, the agentic era will let each user reshape the product into exactly what they need.
The company says the layer is:
- installable with one command
- open source
- meant to help products become more customizable for end users
