Open-Weights Returns AI Value Definition Power from Labs to People

Qu Xiaoyin stated that for the past two years, AI labs have acted as the final authority, dictating what users are allowed to ask and deciding what is safe, moral, or too dangerous.
She argues that this era is over. Open-weight models return that power to the people. Within the rule of law, consumers and enterprises can now choose the values their AI represents, rather than accepting what figures like Dario prefer and decide.
