A new agentic-app model embeds coding agents inside ordinary applications
threepointone · x · 2026-07-21
This post proposes an alternative interaction model for agentic apps: embedding coding-agent harnesses directly inside regular applications.
Rather than forcing users into a separate chat interface, the idea is to let the app provide the workspace while the agent becomes a built-in loop for editing, planning, and execution. The post is a written version of a talk given at Local First Conf.
