OpenCodex lets Codex switch between models
vista8 · x · 2026-07-21
OpenCodex is an open-source proxy layer for Codex that lets users switch between non-OpenAI models on the fly. The post highlights a practical workflow: use Kimi K3 for front-end design, switch to GPT sol5.6 for back-end work, and even swap in Grok 4.5 for web/X search. The attached screenshot shows the project’s GitHub repo and model picker UI.
