HandUMI Slashes Robot Data Collection Costs

A shared post introduces HandUMI, an open-source project added to Awesome-UMI aimed at achieving UMI-style action data collection at a very low cost.
The accompanying image highlights it as a data collection solution designed for dual-arm robots, utilizing a wearable glove/controller form factor. By moving the collection interface to the operator's hands, it records motions via VR controllers/tracking. The author notes that motion tracking technologies accumulated in the XR field are now helping Physical AI significantly reduce data collection costs.
