Skild AI Clarifies ACT-2 is Not a Traditional Architecture

Addressing community speculation about whether their ACT-2 model is based on the classic Action Chunking with Transformers (ACT) architecture, Skild AI co-founder Tony Zhao explicitly clarified that the two are entirely unrelated.
He emphasized that to meet the massive data scale and capability demands of modern robotic systems, the team had to adopt a completely new underlying technical architecture rather than recycling old solutions.
