Chums: open-source Apple Watch app puts Claude Code and Codex on your wrist
brandon_galang · x · 2026-10-27
Chums is a free, open-source Apple Watch/iPhone app that turns the Claude Code or Codex already running on your Mac into a wrist-worn agent — no new model, subscription, or account. It connects back to your Mac via Tailscale Funnel (HTTPS with token): hold the screen to talk, watch tool calls stream in real time, approve or deny permission prompts as cards, and hear spoken replies in each character's voice. Every character looks different (real-time 3D, Blender renders, pixels, etc.) and is its own agent; the team ships a Swift rig file so you can customize look, animation, and voice, then build it onto your watch. The author calls it one of the coolest projects he's seen in a while and a great way to try the form factor.
