Mimic Launches Full-Stack Dexterous Manipulation Platform

Mimic Robotics released a full-stack dexterous manipulation platform featuring the M1 robotic hand and the U1(umimic) wearable teleoperation device.
The core idea is to maintain human-hand morphological consistency across the entire pipeline—from data collection and video pre-training to wearable teaching and robot deployment—to reduce the transfer gap caused by cross-morphology. The M1 uses a tendon-driven design with 15 active degrees of freedom, high back-drivability of <0.05 Nm, the ability to sense objects weighing 50g and tactile forces of 0.1N, and a grip strength exceeding 25kg. It is positioned as an industrial-grade product made in Switzerland. The U1 allows users to naturally teach the robot with their own hands, achieving 1:1 kinematic and sensory matching, avoiding latency and retargeting, thereby generating higher-quality, scalable data.
