matei_zaharia · x · 2026-07-19
Databricks' Matei Zaharia was recommended for an interview about the open-source Omnigent project. The core viewpoint is: Agents are still in their early stages, and our methods for building and developing them are quite immature.
Omnigent is defined as a meta-harness aimed at bridging the various gaps in current agent development. The post also stresses that agent-related infrastructure will become increasingly critical in the future.
