Claude Generates a Whale-Shaped Crossword Puzzle
goodside · x · 2026-07-19
Someone used Claude Fable 5 Max to create a "whale-shaped" crossword puzzle of Moby Dick: arranging all unique words from the book with at least 12 letters into the outline of a whale.
The screenshots also discuss a very specific generation constraint: whether hyphenated words like sperm-whale and whale-fishery should be split and counted separately, and whether to prioritize completeness or the whale shape if a few phrases couldn't fit. The final result is an incredibly elaborate word-cloud whale that looks like a work of art.
