Indie game developer Jason Rohrer (One Hour One Life) says he's coding the engine for Chessamphetamine entirely from scratch: raw C89, zero libraries, and absolutely no AI-generated code.
He stresses this is not an ethical statement — he just enjoys coding from scratch — while teasing that "everyone wants labels! Or don't they?", a nod to the current debate over whether AI should write code.
