4-Step AI Learning Prompt Workflow

This post shares a 4-step AI learning workflow based on the Feynman Technique. The core goal isn't just to "understand" but to force yourself to truly master the material.
The 4-Step Process:
- Concept Mapping: Have AI extract the 5 most critical concepts from a piece of content, detailing their definitions, practical significance, and questions to test your comprehension.
- The 12-Year-Old Test: Ask AI to explain each concept in language simple enough for a child to grasp, then try repeating it back in your own words.
- Vulnerability Check: Feed your answers back to AI to evaluate what’s strong, weak, or incorrect, allowing it to pinpoint misunderstandings and ask follow-up questions.
- Analogy Locking: Construct two distinct analogies for each concept while clearly defining where the analogies hold true and where they break down.
The author believes Step 3, the vulnerability check, is the most valuable step because many self-learners stop at "feeling like they understand" without actual error correction. Finally, they suggest prompting the model to distinguish between "surface-level understanding" and "structural understanding."
