Meta Sued for Using AI to Select Layoff Targets

Employees have sued Meta, alleging the company used AI to screen employees during mass layoffs, and that the screening process disproportionately disadvantaged disabled employees or those on medical leave.
The core of the lawsuit argues that AI-driven HR decisions can amplify discrimination against employees with medical conditions, causing them to lose both their income and health insurance simultaneously.
