Linus publicly stated that the Linux kernel project is not an anti-AI project; if anyone is unhappy with this, they can choose to fork or leave.
He emphasized that AI, like any other tool, is demonstrably useful. While this might have been debatable a year ago, whether "AI is useful" is no longer in question. The real discussion moving forward should be about how AI-related economic models will evolve.
