TSMC Hits Record High in Q2 Performance

TSMC announced its results for the second quarter of 2026:
- Revenue of NT$1.27 trillion (approx. $40 billion), up 36% YoY
- Net income of NT$706.6 billion (approx. $22 billion), up 77% YoY, hitting a record high
- Gross margin of 67.7%, beating guidance
- Revenue landed at the high end of the company's $39–40.2 billion guidance
The post emphasizes that AI chip demand remains the primary growth driver. TSMC CEO C.C. Wei stated that customer demand is still very difficult to fully satisfy in the short term.
