Agent Automates Entire Second-Hand Trade
NousResearch · x · 2026-07-16
NousResearch announced the hackathon's 3rd place winner: CashFromChaos.
Starting with just a photo and a prompt from the seller, the agent can fully automate the second-hand trading process:
- Identifying the item
- Asking only essential follow-up questions
- Choosing the right platform
- Pricing and creating the product listing
- Negotiating with buyers
- Processing payments via Stripe escrow
- Guiding shipping
- Releasing funds after delivery confirmation
The project constrains all decisions within an explicit CommercePolicy, such as minimum prices, haggling rules, and spending limits. The tech stack features Hermes + Nemotron, implemented in Next.js via the Nous Portal. The prize includes $2,500 in cash, an NVIDIA DGX Spark, and $1,000 in Stripe credits.
