Xiaomi Robots Expand Tasks in Auto Plant, Showcasing Multi-Robot Collaboration
broodsugar · x · 2026-07-15
Xiaomi robots are taking on more complex tasks at their EV factory. Beyond achieving a 98% success rate in self-tapping nut loading, they can now handle large flexible center console panel sorting and folding turnover boxes with a 90% success rate.
The core breakthrough behind these advancements lies in an upgraded control stack, enabling whole-body reach, dual-arm re-grasping, active compliance control, precise fingertip control, and multi-robot coordination. This marks a shift for factory robots from executing single tasks to multi-station collaborative operations.
