Local Game Generation Lacks SFX
Parogarr · reddit · 2026-07-15
The poster is building a localized game generation workflow and notes that many stages are already covered:
- Character models can be textured after generating 3D meshes, or users can directly use Daz Genesis characters.
- They wrote a ComfyUI node pack using Claude Code to export Daz3D character meshes as props, rigging them with Mixamo skeletons to fit local 3D motion generation tools like Hunyuan Motion.
- Music can be generated via AceStep, and particle effects, sprites, UI, and menus all have ready-made image generation solutions.
They believe the most crucial missing piece is "reliable sound effect generation." Currently, they have to generate a video first and then rip the audio track, which is cumbersome and yields poor results. Adding high-quality SFX generation could theoretically complete the pipeline for creating "studio-grade 3D games for free."
