Update: Xiaomi's Humanoid Robot Factory Training
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-07-14
Xiaomi continues to share updates on training its humanoid robots at its own auto factory:
- Since Q1 this year, the robots have been undergoing dual-sided operation training at the self-tapping screw workstation, achieving a success rate of 98%.
- In today's update, CyberOne Gen2 autonomously executed two repetitive tasks in the final assembly logistics area:
- Sorting center console side panels
- Folding material boxes
- Both tasks achieved a success rate of 90%.
- Bipedal and wheeled models were deployed simultaneously on-site, working collaboratively with material transport robots as part of a comprehensive intelligent automation system.
The author added a few observations: the wheeled version was more efficient and stable during sorting tasks, while the bipedal robot exhibited some shaking when stopping. Xiaomi also acknowledged that current dexterous manipulation capabilities still have limitations.
