Massive Remote Sensing Detection Dataset Released

Researchers have released LEVIRDet-159 for remote sensing object detection, claiming it to be one of the largest datasets of its kind:
- Features 159 categories, 2.56 million objects, and 700,000 fine-grained annotations
- They also proposed LEVIRDetNet, which automatically adapts to different image scales and category hierarchies
- Without being trained on the target domain, it outperforms fully supervised methods by an average of 5.02 mAP on 9 external benchmarks, maintaining better performance at practical confidence thresholds and surpassing open-set methods
