Hackers Suspected of Using AI-Generated Scripts for Network Reconnaissance
TechNadu · x · 2026-07-13
Security firm Huntress Labs discovered that attackers likely used AI-generated PowerShell scripts to map and conduct reconnaissance on Active Directory before exfiltrating enterprise data. The report notes that while the attack method itself isn't new, AI has significantly boosted its automation and execution speed. This indicates that AI currently accelerates existing hacker workflows rather than creating entirely new attack paradigms.
