tinyfool · x · 2026-07-13

This is a follow-up to a previous message, reiterating the same issue: the initial request of Claude Code 2.1.207 includes system prompts, tool definitions, and scaffolding totaling about 32.8k Tokens, whereas OpenCode 1.17.18 uses about 6,900 Tokens—a difference of roughly 4.7x.

The main takeaway remains that the context overhead differences among coding agents directly impact speed and user experience.
