OMEGA: Multi-Robot Collaborative Orchestration System

OMEGA is an embodied AI harness designed for multi-robot collaboration, aiming to upgrade from "making a single robot work" to "making a team of robots work together." It compiles high-level missions into a task graph, schedules them based on skills, dependencies, and parallel opportunities, and collaborates with workers via A2A while connecting to the robot execution stack through MCP.
The article highlights three key points: orchestration is a fundamental necessity; the collaboration layer must be scalable and reusable; and the bottleneck of embodied AI deployment lies not only in models but also in engineered task decomposition, state tracking, and failure handling. In real-world kitchen tasks, OMEGA successfully validated cross-host collaboration using two LIFT2 robots, retaining task graphs, execution evidence, and event trajectories, proving that such orchestration layers can turn robot demos into reproducible and auditable team systems.
