Open-Source Model Autonomously Conducts Structural Biology
MaziyarPanahi · x · 2026-07-11
An open-source model was used to autonomously perform structural biology tasks:
- Powered by GLM-5.2, it operates the Mol\ viewer to manipulate 3D structures directly.
- It then uses Qwen3-VL to evaluate the rendered results, iterating through corrections until the drug fits into the target pocket.
- The author created a 3D showcase for the results and noted that the entire workflow is open-sourced on Hugging Face.
The author also asked the community for ideas on what tasks to tackle next.
